An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in rehabilitation and long-term care nursing to support patient care in a skilled nursing setting. This contract role is based in Crystal Lake, IL, offering flexibility and opportunities to pick up additional hours for increased income.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Illinois RN license in good standing
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in rehab and long-term care nursing
  • Ability to administer medications as per policy and state regulations
  • Strong assessment and patient observation skills
  • Knowledge of patient care plans and ability to collaborate within a care team

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care by performing treatments and procedures following established protocols
  • Monitor patients closely, documenting and reporting any adverse reactions or changes
  • Administer medications safely and according to scope of practice and facility guidelines
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Participate in care planning by providing input and assisting with implementation under RN supervision
  • Follow hospital and nursing policies, handling emergency situations appropriately
  • Educate patients on self-care in line with teaching plans and RN directions, with proper documentation
