A unique opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Rehabilitation, Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), and Transitional Care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients within a transitional care unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with facility policies and best practices.
- Adhere to established protocols for patient safety, including carrying out appropriate EKG testing.
- Manage patient ratios efficiently, typically 1:8-10, with the flexibility to float as needed.
- Support weekend coverage, approximately one weekend every other week or twice per month.
- Engage positively with patients and families to support rehabilitation and recovery goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with demonstrated experience in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Acute Care nursing.
- Required certifications include BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Ability to pass EKG competency testing prior to assignment start.
- Comfortable working with patient ratios and floating within the unit as needed.
- Availability to work assigned weekend shifts.
- Willingness to comply with holiday coverage policies, with limited requests for time off during holidays.
Additional Details:
- This is a travel nursing assignment with bi-weekly orientations available onsite.
- Schedule typically includes 5 shifts of 16 hours night shift, offering a unique shift experience.
