Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders or wounds using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.
  • Administer rehabilitation procedures such as manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation, modalities, wound care, and assistive device training.
  • Continuously assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all interventions and outcomes in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers to provide consultation, counseling, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, rehabilitation meetings, and ongoing professional education.
  • Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students as needed.
  • Comply with professional codes of conduct, ethics, and applicable state and national practice acts.
