An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in rehabilitation and long-term care, located in Round Lake, IL. This contract position offers the chance to contribute to a team focused on quality patient care within skilled nursing units. Candidates must hold a current Illinois nursing license and have CPR certification.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering quality patient care by performing treatments and procedures according to established protocols.
  • Monitoring patients closely and promptly reporting any adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Administering specified medications as allowed by policies, licensure, and the State Practice Act.
  • Responding safely and timely to patient requests and communicating significant observations to the RN.
  • Understanding and supporting patient care plans, assisting with implementation under RN direction.
  • Following hospital and nursing policies rigorously and managing emergency situations within scope of practice.
  • Educating patients in self-care according to prescribed teaching plans and documenting this instruction.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois RN license
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in rehabilitation or long-term care nursing
  • Strong observational and communication skills
  • Ability to work within established care standards and protocols
