An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Stepdown experience to provide high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position offers a chance to work in Anchorage, Alaska, delivering compassionate nursing care to patients requiring specialized monitoring and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient status in the stepdown unit, ensuring timely interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient information.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide critical care support.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, active and in-hand at the time of application.
- Experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing preferred.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities.
