This role calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with stepdown unit experience who delivers individualized, evidence-based care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. As an RN, you will play a vital role in coordinating and providing patient-centered care, ensuring safety and quality outcomes in a dynamic clinical setting governed by professional standards and ethical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform holistic nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care that involves patients and their families in goal-setting and care decisions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members through effective communication and documentation.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and uphold policies aligned with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support professional growth and a healthy work environment.
  • Engage in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and quality improvement projects.
  • Optimize resource use and contribute to protocol development to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current RN license with Single State or Multi-State Compact eligibility.
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • IV heparin administration experience highly desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to function efficiently under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with relevant clinical technologies.

Schedule & Location:

  • Night shift: 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
  • Every other weekend and designated holidays.
  • Contract opportunity based in Atlanta, GA.
