Key responsibilities include monitoring patients following interventions such as PTCA, stent placements, TAVR, MitraClip procedures, and bi-ventricular pacemaker implantations. The unit also cares for post-open heart surgery patients during their critical 18-24 hour recovery period, manages cases involving congestive heart failure, and supports electrophysiology studies. Engagement in clinical research through collaboration with a dedicated research department offers opportunities to contribute to national clinical trials.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in cardiovascular or stepdown nursing preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, specialized cardiac care unit
