A dynamic nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse experienced in stepdown care, focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. This role emphasizes individualized care guided by evidence-based practice and professional nursing standards in a supportive clinical environment.

Location: This position is based in Cumming, GA, a vibrant community known for its blend of suburban comfort and natural beauty. Cumming offers access to scenic parks, lakes, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place to balance professional growth and quality of life.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • Coverage for two major and two minor holidays annually

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation tailored to patient needs.
  • Deliver culturally competent, relationship-based care aligned with patient goals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and communication to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical standards, legal, and organizational policies.
  • Participate actively in performance improvement, shared governance, and evidence-based practice.
  • Serve as a mentor or preceptor, promoting professional development of nursing staff and fostering a healthy work environment.
  • Support efficient use of resources and contribute to protocol development aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Associate degree or diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Licensure as an RN in the state or through a multi-state compact.
  • Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
  • Demonstrated experience or competence in IV Heparin administration.
  • Less than one year experience is acceptable with completion of nursing school and clinical hours.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Ability to remain composed and decisive in fast-paced or emergency situations.
