Stepdown Registered Nurse - Lawrence, Kansas

Location:

Schedule/Hours:

• Evening shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three shifts per week
• One weekend shift per month required

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from critical illness or surgery requiring stepdown monitoring
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions closely, identifying changes and intervening promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with facility policies

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in stepdown or critical care units
• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Ability to work efficiently during overnight hours and manage a dynamic patient population
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
