Provide specialized nursing care in a progressive care stepdown unit, supporting patients transitioning from intensive care with high-acuity needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients with varying acuity levels.
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips, arterial lines, and advanced respiratory therapies such as BiPAP and Airvo.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery.
- Float to lesser acuity units as required, demonstrating adaptability in varied clinical settings.
- Work scheduled 12-hour night shifts from approximately 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend and major holiday coverage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid RN license with current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of one year PCU nursing experience.
- Preferred experience with high acuity drip management, arterial lines, and respiratory support devices.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to float to other units comfortably.

Schedule:
- Orientation Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
- Regular 12-hour night shifts.
- Weekend coverage every other weekend.
- Major holiday shifts with managerial schedule coordination.
