PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Overland Park, Kansas

Schedule:

• Evening shifts: 7pm to 7am
• 3 days per week
• One weekend per month required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in condition.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas
• Experience in stepdown or progressive care units preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively during overnight shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
