Travel Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Paris, TX

Stepping into this advanced 154-bed facility, you'll join the most complex hospital within a 70-mile radius, serving both Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. As a traveler, you'll expand your clinical acumen at a Level 3 Trauma Center, Level 1 NICU, and a hospital recognized for excellence in stroke and cardiac care. Weekly orientation ensures seamless onboarding while exposing you to different workplace cultures and innovative leadership—the perfect way to diversify your resume and elevate your practice.

Schedule:

• 4x10 hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday (unable to accommodate 3x12s)
• Weekly orientation on Mondays

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active RN license with Stepdown specialty experience
• Current required certifications must be completed prior to start
• Residency must be 60+ miles from facility (to qualify as a travel RN)
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability
• Previous experience in acute or stepdown units highly preferred

Key Duties:

• Deliver expert care to patients transitioning from critical to lower acuity levels
• Monitor patient vitals and progress with precision
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate and communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Document care and interventions consistently and accurately
