An opportunity is available for an experienced registered nurse skilled in stepdown care to support a multidisciplinary healthcare team in Pompton Plains, NJ. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive admission assessments and collect detailed health histories from patients and families across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Develop and implement individualized, age-appropriate care plans emphasizing safety, education, and a healing environment.
• Continuously assess and adjust patient care needs, delegating appropriately to qualified caregivers.
• Employ telemetry monitoring techniques, accurately interpret cardiac data, and respond to arrhythmias or chest pain with established protocols and necessary interventions.
• Document nursing interventions, medication administration, patient responses, and education thoroughly and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Facilitate effective patient and family education, providing tailored teaching tools and coordinating discharge planning from admission through hospital stay.

• Transcribe, verify, and sign off medical orders efficiently while maintaining communication with physicians regarding patient status.
