Provide expert nursing care as an RN on a specialized step-down unit focused on cardiac care. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced registered nurses skilled in managing complex cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment. The unit features a 1:2 patient ratio and advanced technology, offering a dynamic and supportive setting for professional growth.

Location: Wichita, KS

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to step-down cardiac patients, including those requiring balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia therapy
  • Monitor and manage patients with heart caths, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain precise documentation using Meditech EMR systems
  • Uphold unit policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN licensure with experience in step-down or cardiac care units
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • NIH certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cardiac patients with advanced equipment
  • Strong organizational skills with a positive and engaged attitude

Schedule:

  • Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
