A registered nurse with expertise in acute medical-surgical and telemetry care is needed for a 13-week contract position in Canandaigua, NY. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care on the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, supporting patients in a 37-bed setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current NIH AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
- For non-U.S. trained candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. work experience is required
- Preferred: 2 years recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience
- Flexibility to work according to facility needs, including floating to other units and assuming charge nurse responsibilities (training provided)
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts, 12 hours (7 PM – 7 AM)
- 36 to 48 hours per week available
- One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend
- Commitment to at least one holiday shift during the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a med-surg/telemetry unit
- Utilize EPIC for electronic charting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Adapt to facility scheduling demands and support staffing flexibility in various clinical areas
