A rewarding opportunity is available for a registered nurse with acute medical-surgical and telemetry experience to provide care on a night shift schedule in a well-equipped medical setting. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a medical-telemetry unit with 37 beds.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, administer treatments, and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Accurately document patient information using EPIC charting system.
- Float to other units as needed and assist with charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
- Comply with policies regarding holiday coverage and weekend shifts.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
- For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. nursing work experience required.
- Active registered nurse license in New York State.
- NIH AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Flexibility to adapt to variable scheduling needs, including weekend and holiday shifts.
- Willingness to float and work charge when requested; training for charge nurse responsibilities provided.
Schedule / Hours:
- Night shifts, 12 hours (7 PM – 7 AM)
- 36 to 48 hours per week available
- One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend
