Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care in a telemetry-capable medical-surgical unit.
  • Perform patient assessments, including monitoring telemetry and managing isolation precautions.
  • Administer blood products, insulin, heparin, and patient-controlled analgesia (PCA).
  • Manage peripheral IV lines, start IVs, and implement rapid response interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and respond to patient needs with urgency and professionalism.
  • Float between units and potentially serve as Charge RN when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, including timely attendance and passing the required EKG competency exam.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum two years of RN telemetry experience; first-time travel nurses will not be considered.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred.
  • Proven ability to function effectively in 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to float between units as needed.

  • 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios ensure manageable workloads and quality care.
  • Compliance deadlines and zero-tolerance policies for tardiness and unexcused absences must be strictly followed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
  • This assignment requires a 21-week commitment.
