A nursing position is available for an experienced RN with a focus on telemetry care. This role supports a patient population needing specialized cardiac monitoring and recovery assistance. The position requires working night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), with weekend responsibilities every other weekend. This contract opportunity involves floating between units with similar patient acuity levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
  • EPIC electronic medical record system experience mandatory
  • No first-time travel nurses accepted; prior travel nursing experience required
  • Able to float among units of equal or lesser patient acuity
  • Must be comfortable caring for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, stent placement, pacemaker implants, and hemodynamically stable cardiac conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Provide telemetry nursing care to a variety of cardiac patients, ranging from young adult to geriatric

  • Maintain detailed patient records using EPIC system
  • Support unit staffing by floating as necessary
  • Adhere strictly to patient safety protocols and hospital policies during night shifts
