Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Littleton, CO

A challenging opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with telemetry expertise to provide exceptional care on a state-of-the-art surgical and telemetry unit. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment with a diverse patient population including post-operative surgery patients and those requiring advanced cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients using telemetry equipment, managing post-op recovery from surgeries and cath lab procedures, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. The unit maintains a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and utilizes Meditech as the electronic medical record system. You will provide critical care for conditions such as stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, and cardiac events, administering prescribed cardiac drips and managing patient turnover efficiently.

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

• Current RN licensure with active certification in ACLS and BLS; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Proficient in telemetry and cardiac patient care, with experience in surgical nursing highly valued
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with fluctuating patient census and acuity
• Friendly and outgoing demeanor with strong multitasking and communication skills
