A Registered Nurse with telemetry experience is needed for a 13-week contract assignment in Olathe, KS. This opportunity offers an engaging role on a cardiac telemetry unit providing critical care to patients requiring specialized monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients on Unit 4N Cardiac
  • Administer cardiac drips including Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem
  • Manage TR Bands post-procedure and assist with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process
  • Float to other acute care units as needed
  • Participate in scheduled night shifts, weekend rotations every other week, and holiday coverage as required
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using the EPIC electronic medical record system

Qualifications:

  • Active Kansas RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience; 2-5 years preferred
  • Experience with cardiac drips, TR Band care, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation strongly preferred
  • Ability to float across acute care units effectively

Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Three 12-hour shifts
  • Weekends every other rotation
  • Holiday coverage required (Christmas Eve/Day and New Year’s Eve/Day)

Orientation:

  • Five-day orientation including in-person training at the main campus and Olathe unit
  • Virtual Epic training available if necessary
