Providing essential nursing care within a fast-paced healthcare environment, this position requires registered nurses with experience in telemetry to manage and monitor patients requiring cardiac and other vital sign observation. The role emphasizes delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while utilizing advanced telemetry monitoring equipment and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients on telemetry units, interpreting cardiac rhythms and vital signs accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond promptly to changes in patients' conditions and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses comprehensively.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management and telemetry care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
