Provide skilled nursing care in an acute care setting focused on geriatric and inpatient rehabilitation patients. This contract position is based in Sylva, NC, with assignments at a hospital offering a 24-bed unit specialized in swing bed patient care and wound management. The role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care within an affluent community where concierge-level service is expected.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care with a focus on geriatric patients and swing bed rehabilitation.
- Perform wound care and minor procedures efficiently and safely.
- Utilize Cerner for documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
- Adhere to patient ratios averaging 6 to 7 to 1 under limited staffing support without unit secretaries or techs during some shifts.
- Follow hospital policies including uniform standards (navy tops and white bottoms) and required certifications such as BLS and ACLS preferred.
- Maintain high standards of care consistent with an upscale patient community and team-oriented environment.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license with experience in acute care settings.
- Proficiency in caring for geriatric and swing bed patients.
- Competence in wound care and minor procedural skills.
- Certification in BLS required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
- Ability to work 3 twelve-hour shifts with flexible scheduling.
Schedule:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week with variable scheduling options.
- Floating within the hospital is rare.
