Provide advanced nursing care in a specialized acute care setting focusing on elderly patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work nights in a supportive environment dedicated to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on a 36-bed Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) and Alternate Level of Care (ALC) unit.
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry support.
  • Complete thorough documentation using EPIC charting system.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
  • Maintain flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs, including weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • NIH and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
  • For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of work experience in the U.S. healthcare system.
  • Preferred: 2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
  • Ability to work night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM), including 36 to 48 hours per week.
  • Willingness to work at least one holiday during the contract period.
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location.

Schedule:

  • Night shift, 12 hours (7 PM to 7 AM)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend
