Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Whitehouse, TX

This role involves delivering specialized nursing care on a cardiac unit with a focus on patients recovering from cardiac interventions such as surgery, stents, and pacemaker implants. The position requires flexibility to float to units with equal or lesser acuity and experience working night shifts. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• BLS certification required; NIH certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers not accepted
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio efficiently
• Comfortable floating to units of equal or lesser acuity during shifts

Schedule:

• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients 5 North unit, which includes private rooms for young adult to geriatric patients
• Monitor and manage post-procedural cardiac patients and stable non-procedural cardiac cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC system
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout shift
