Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Dorchester, MA

We are currently seeking four dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team in Dorchester, MA for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite in a K-12 educational setting, providing essential therapy services to students. If you have a strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and experience with service delivery in schools, we encourage you to apply.

Position Type: Full Time (four positions available)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual perception, and activities of daily living
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications
  • Maintain accurate documentation of students' progress and communicate regularly with the multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
  • Proficient understanding of IEPs and knowledge of service delivery in schools
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students

Caseload: The exact caseload will be determined based on the needs of the school and the individual therapist's qualifications and preferences.
