Position Overview:

As a Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Soliant, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with Occupational Therapists to implement therapy programs, provide hands-on care, and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. This contract position offers flexibility and the chance to work with a dynamic team in various healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists. Assist in evaluating patients' conditions and developing customized treatment plans.

2. Therapy Implementation: Administer prescribed therapy techniques, exercises, and activities to improve patients' physical and cognitive abilities, mobility, and functional skills.

3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and evaluations, in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

4. Collaboration: Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and to adapt treatment plans as needed.

5. Education: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and home programs to facilitate continued progress.

6. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing occupational therapy practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Colorado.
• Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Contract Details:

• Contract duration: Full Time
• Hours: 35-40 per week
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
• Location: Colorado Springs
