Position: Occupational Therapist (Part-Time, Maternity Leave Coverage) Location: Onsite, California (CA) Contract Duration: ASAP through at least January

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our school's team on a part-time basis to cover a maternity leave position. As an Occupational Therapist at our school in California, you will play a vital role in helping students develop essential skills to thrive in their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in a school setting.
• Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure students' academic and functional success.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed.
• Keep abreast of best practices and emerging trends in occupational therapy.

Requirements:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing special education services in California.
