Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in a K-12th district educational setting in Washington State. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' specific needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic interventions and activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the integration of occupational therapy goals into the students' educational plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans.
- Stay informed about best practices in occupational therapy and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Provide support and education to teachers and staff on strategies to enhance students' participation in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Washington.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience working with K-12th grade students is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
