Occupational Therapist (OT) - School Contract Position
Location: Middle School & High School, Massachusetts (MA)
Contract Duration: ASAP - June 2024
Hours per Week: Approximately 35
Caseload: Approximately 40 Students
Population and Ages: Grades 5-PG (ages 10-22)
Job Description:
Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students? We have an exciting contract position available in Massachusetts at both the Middle School and High School levels. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT looking to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students, ranging in age from 10 to 22.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' unique needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including but not limited to fine and gross motor skills development, sensory integration, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other members of the school's multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and complete necessary documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts OT license.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for promoting the well-being and development of students.
