Occupational Therapist (OT) | California

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with a school district in Glendora, CA. This is a full-time position, initially for the first semester, with the potential for extension through the spring semester based on performance and the needs of the district.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' individual needs and develop customized treatment plans
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills, and functional abilities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic success and integration into the school environment
• Develop and implement strategies and interventions to enhance students' participation and independence in daily activities and classroom routines
• Monitor and document student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate and timely records
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on goals, objectives, and accommodations for students with disabilities
• Collaborate with other professionals and support staff to ensure a coordinated and collaborative approach to student care

Qualifications:

• Valid California State license as an Occupational Therapist
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of best practices and evidence-based interventions in school-based occupational therapy
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
