Occupational Therapist (OT) - Extended School Year (ESY) - Near Glenview, IL !

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) program near Glenview, Illinois. As an OT, you will play a vital role in providing therapy services to students with diverse needs during the summer months, supporting their ongoing development and progress. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results, IEPs, and student needs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care tasks, and environmental adaptations.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to enhance students' independence, functional skills, and overall participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure effective integration of therapy goals into the students' educational programs.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Illinois.
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Knowledge of assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
• Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process, including collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
