Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Preschool Early Intervention division for the 2023/2024 school year. This position will be for a temporary leave cover from mid-October to mid-January, providing valuable support to our students and helping them achieve their developmental goals. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and abilities of preschool-age children.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to address developmental delays and improve functional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, and other professionals to create a holistic support system for children in the early intervention program.
- Provide direct therapeutic services to children and support them in achieving their therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding therapy progress and strategies for continued support at home.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Pennsylvania.
- Experience working with preschool-age children, preferably in an educational or early intervention setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective occupational therapy interventions.
- Commitment to providing high-quality services to support the development and well-being of young children.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each child.
