Job Description: We are seeking multiple Occupational Therapists (OTs) for the 2023-2024 school year. One OT is needed for the West Valley location, and another OT is needed for the Upper Campus in Phoenix, AZ on a part-time basis. As an OT, you will work with students to enhance their ability to participate in daily activities, improve fine motor skills, and address sensory needs to support their educational success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual or group sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement strategies that support students' occupational needs in the educational environment.
  • Design and recommend adaptations, modifications, and assistive technology to improve students' participation and independence.
  • Monitor and document students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers and staff on implementing strategies and accommodations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions to contribute to students' educational planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy in Arizona.
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration techniques, fine motor development, and adaptive equipment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Passion for working with students and promoting their independence and functional skills.
