We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team for home-based services near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position offers the unique opportunity to provide occupational therapy services in a student's home environment. Position Details:

• Job Title: Occupational Therapist
• Contract Type: Part-Time, Home-Based Services
• Duration: ASAP Start - May 2024
• Hours: 60 minutes per week
• Location: Near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities: As an Occupational Therapist providing home-based services, you will be responsible for delivering quality therapy services to a student with visual impairment and hearing loss. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting assessments to evaluate the student's functional abilities and occupational therapy needs in the home environment.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on assessment results and in collaboration with the IEP team and family.
• Providing direct occupational therapy services to the student, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, daily living skills, and environmental adaptations.
• Adapting therapy strategies and materials to meet the unique needs of a visually impaired and hard of hearing student.
• Collaborating with the student's family, teachers, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the student's daily routine.
• Documenting all therapy sessions and student progress to ensure accurate record keeping.
• Communicating effectively with the family and other team members regarding the student's therapy goals and progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Experience working with students who are visually impaired and hard of hearing.
• Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for occupational therapy interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
