Occupational Therapist (OT) Opening Near State College, PA | October - January Leave Coverage

Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist to provide leave coverage for a school district in State College, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners in a preschool early intervention setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the individual needs of preschool students.
• Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy plans to address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-help skills.
• Provide direct one-on-one or group therapy sessions to students, as well as consult with teachers and other school staff.
• Collaborate with the IEP team to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Offer guidance and recommendations for adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance students' learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding students' progress and home-based activities to support therapy goals.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for preschool students.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
• Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license.
• Previous experience in a school-based or early intervention setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of the IEP process and experience working with young children with diverse needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable when working with preschool-aged children.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate therapy records.
