Soliant Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a K-12th grade setting, providing exceptional occupational therapy services to students in Massachusetts. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual perception, and self-help skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' individual needs
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and functional success
- Adapt classroom environments and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications to enhance student participation and independence
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to improve students' motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and self-regulation
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Document student performance and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' goals and progress
- Stay up-to-date with current research, trends, and best practices in the field of occupational therapy
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Massachusetts license or eligibility for licensure in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Knowledge of special education regulations and experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of service delivery models in schools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help students achieve their full potential
