Job Description:
Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide exceptional home health services to a visually impaired and hard of hearing student in Prospect Park, PA. As an OT, you will have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the student's overall development and quality of life. This contracted assignment offers a flexible schedule of 60 minutes per week, providing you with the opportunity to utilize your expertise and skills in a one-on-one setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the student's functional abilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the student's specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to address the student's visual impairment and hearing difficulties.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance the student's independence, motor skills, sensory processing, and overall daily functioning.
- Collaborate with the student's family, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to therapy.
- Monitor the student's progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all interventions accurately.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
- Prior experience working with students with visual impairments and hearing impairments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of sensory integration techniques and adaptive equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the student, family, and interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- CPR certification is preferred.
