We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist for an exciting travel contract opportunity in Rochester, NY. This position is based in a prestigious Cancer Center hospital, and we are specifically looking for candidates with a strong background in oncology pharmacy. While board certification in oncology pharmacy (BCOP) is not mandatory, we require candidates to have prior experience working with chemotherapy and oncology medications.

Responsibilities:
 

  • As a Pharmacist in this Cancer Center hospital, you will have the option to work either in the outpatient infusion area or on the inpatient side.
  • The primary shifts will be during regular business hours, with some weekend coverage highly appreciated by the staff.
  • Utilize your expertise to ensure accurate dispensing of medications, provide pharmaceutical consultations, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.


Requirements:
 

  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience, with a focus on oncology.
  • Proficiency in handling chemotherapy and oncology medications is essential.
  • Familiarity with the Paragon IT system or the ability to quickly adapt to new pharmacy software.


Duration: 6-12 months (with potential for extension)

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to make a significant impact in a leading Cancer Center hospital setting. The contract duration is initially 6-12 months, with the potential for extension. We are looking for candidates who are committed to dedicating at least 6 months to this assignment.
