We are seeking an experienced Oncology RN to join our team for a 13-week assignment in a Level 1 Academic Trauma center in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Oncology and Chemotherapy administration, with preferred skills in PIV placement, ports, Venous Access Devices (VADs), and IV skills.
Responsibilities:
• Administering chemotherapy and other treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician
• Monitoring patients' vital signs and physical condition during and after chemotherapy
• Documenting patient progress, symptoms, and treatment outcomes
• Educating patients and families on chemotherapy side effects and self-care strategies
• Collaborating with physicians, healthcare team members, and other healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
• Active RN license in the state of Wisconsin
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Oncology and Chemotherapy administration
• Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital
• Completion of a successful 13-week traveler assignment preferred
• PIV placement skills and experience with ports preferred
• Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills preferred
