Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and qualified Onsite School Psychologists to join our school district in Blue Island, IL. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of our students in grades K-8. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to implement the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special services
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to students individually or in small groups to address social-emotional and behavioral concerns
  • Participate in the MTSS process by analyzing student data, identifying areas of concern, and developing and implementing targeted interventions
  • Support the implementation of PBIS systems to promote positive behavior and create a safe and inclusive school environment
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding students' academic progress, behavioral strategies, and accommodations
  • Collaborate with the school team to facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during challenging situations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working as a School Psychologist is preferred, particularly in a K-8 educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, data analysis, and intervention strategies
  • Familiarity with the MTSS process and PBIS systems
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Contract Duration: 2023-2024 School Year
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Multiple openings: Nine positions available
