Job Description: We are currently seeking multiple Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) for onsite positions in Crown Point, IN, for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time opportunity, and the specific dates will be determined closer to the start of the school year. As an SLP, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders, including speech and language impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students across all grade levels.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students' communication goals.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and provide progress reports to parents and the educational team.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with state and district guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including evaluation reports, therapy notes, and billing documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Hold or be eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Indiana.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 75 students, providing services and meeting IEP goals in a timely manner.
