Work Hours: 35 hours /week 
Education:
Master’s Level Degree 
Must have IL PEL
Certifications: ASHA- American Speech and Language Association
        CFY- Clinical Fellow Year
        CCC- Certificate of Clinical Competence 
Responsibilities:
- Assist students who have disabilities or experienced traumatic events that left them with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments.
- Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
- Keeping detailed records relating to student conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
- Direct service position, thus involves some assessment, goal writing/IEP development, treatment planning, individual/group/consultative services, and documentation
-The S/L therapist communicates and collaborates with staff, parents, community and advocates on issues pertaining to services for students with disabilities
-Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, the speech and language (S/L) therapist
-Will identify and treat communication problems related to language and speech. Working with students of all ages, school age to 21 years
