Position Overview:

As a Paraprofessional with Soliant, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to assist students with diverse learning needs, helping them access the curriculum, engage in classroom activities, and achieve their educational goals. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students as directed by the teacher. Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and projects.

  2. Specialized Assistance: Work with students who have individualized education plans (IEPs) or special needs, implementing strategies and accommodations to facilitate their learning.

  3. Behavioral Support: Assist in managing student behavior, fostering a positive and respectful classroom environment.

  4. Instructional Support: Collaborate with teachers to reinforce lesson plans and adapt materials to meet students' needs. Help with the preparation and organization of classroom resources.

  5. Progress Monitoring: Keep records of student performance and communicate regularly with teachers to track student progress and adjust support as necessary.

  6. Individualized Care: Provide care and assistance to students with specific physical, emotional, or medical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or college coursework preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of an educational team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse student needs.
