Caseload: Middle School, 7th Grade

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team as a 1:1 Aide for a significantly disabled student transitioning to 7th grade. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of a student in need. The role involves providing direct support to the student in their academic, social, and personal development throughout the school day.


  • Work closely with the student to provide individualized support as per their IEP (Individualized Education Plan) requirements.
  • Assist in implementing educational plans and strategies outlined by the Special Education team.
  • Support the student in navigating classroom activities, assignments, and interactions with peers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student's growth and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are met effectively.
  • Help with mobility, personal care, and other activities as needed to facilitate the student's participation in school life.


  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of IEPs and ability to implement accommodations and modifications.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the school team.
