We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other education professionals to support the educational and behavioral needs of students with diverse learning abilities. Your role will involve providing assistance in the classroom, implementing individualized education plans, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and modify instructional materials to meet the needs of students.
  • MUST have Significant/Severe Caseload Experience
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning abilities in the classroom or in specialized settings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management strategies.
  • Support students with their assignments, including homework and classwork.
  • Monitor student progress and document observations to inform educational planning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting respect, empathy, and understanding among students.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with students with diverse learning abilities, such as special education, behavioral support, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
