Job Title: Paraprofessional/Educational Technician

Employment Type: Full-time (Up to 37.5 hours/week), Onsite

Pay Scale: $17.00-27.00 per Hour 

Caseload(s): K-6, Moderate behavioral needs setting

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate educational technician to join our team near Winthrop, ME for the 2024-2025 school year. The district we are working with has multiple openings available. If you are passionate about supporting students with special needs, we encourage you to apply!

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Valid Maine Educational Technician II or III certification 
• At least 60 credit hours towards a college degree required 
• Experience with students who have special needs, specifically those with behavioral disorders required 
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with children
• Must be comfortable with toileting 

Job Details:

• Assist special education teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students in developing academic and social skills
• Monitor and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
