What You'll Do:

  • Assist the pharmacist in accurately and efficiently dispensing prescription medications
  • Enter prescription orders and manage patient information in the pharmacy system
  • Package and label medications for distribution, including dose packaging
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns
  • Work closely with the pharmacist to manage medication inventory
  • Utilize your compounding skills to create customized medications as directed by physicians
  • Specialize in pediatric compounding and pediatric coloring/flavoring to cater to young patients' needs
  • Administer immunizations and support immunization-related activities
  • Handle veterinary prescription orders and assist with veterinary pharmacy services

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician certification program
  • State licensure as a Pharmacy Technician (if required)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and prescription medications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail in medication dispensing and inventory management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Experience in compounding, especially pediatric compounding, is a plus
  • Familiarity with veterinary medications and their unique requirements is desirable
  • Immunization certification or willingness to become certified is preferred
