Are you a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a school district in Olympia, WA? We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team for the Extended School Year Program. This position offers a rewarding experience, helping students achieve their physical goals and enhancing their overall well-being during the summer break.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and goals for each student
- Provide direct physical therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the multidisciplinary educational team to ensure coordinated care and support for students
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Offer guidance and recommendations to teachers and staff regarding modifications and accommodations for students with physical disabilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with the advisory team to discuss student progress and develop appropriate strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a Physical Therapist in the state of Washington
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Proficient knowledge of physical therapy practices and techniques
- Ability to assess and address individual student needs effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work with students, parents, and the educational team
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and maintain accurate documentation
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the program
