Part Time Physical Therapist for an ESY Program in Olympia, WA

Are you a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a school district in Olympia, WA? We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team for the Extended School Year Program. This position offers a rewarding experience, helping students achieve their physical goals and enhancing their overall well-being during the summer break.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and goals for each student
• Provide direct physical therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the multidisciplinary educational team to ensure coordinated care and support for students
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Offer guidance and recommendations to teachers and staff regarding modifications and accommodations for students with physical disabilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with the advisory team to discuss student progress and develop appropriate strategies

Qualifications:

• Valid license or certification as a Physical Therapist in the state of Washington
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Proficient knowledge of physical therapy practices and techniques
• Ability to assess and address individual student needs effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work with students, parents, and the educational team
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and maintain accurate documentation
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the program
