Missouri Medical Center has an immediate need for a Sonographer with Pediatric experience (NICU). Must have at least two years of experience. Must have High- Risk Experience for Fetal Health Care Center. Must be comfortable doing at least 7 Ultrasounds a day. Must have ARDMS. Must be available to start travel assignment two weeks upon offer. Knowledge of echocardiographic procedures and exams Fetal situs and positioning Umbilical artery / venous flow patterns Ductus venosus flow patterns Fetal arrhythmia are required. Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. No Call. No Weekends and No Holidays

    Job Description:

  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examination.
  • Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and image.
  • Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Analyses; sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.
  • Coordinates work schedule with Departmental Director and/or scheduling desk to assure workload coverage.
  • Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer’s care.
  • Assists with the daily operations of the sonographic laboratory.
  • Qualifications:

  • ARMDS or CCI
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) preferred.
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
  • Current BLS
