Per diem Pharmacist- Hospital

Position: Vacation Coverage
Pharmacist Location: Midland, TX
Duration: Temporary
Facility: LTAC Hospital

We are currently seeking a skilled Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage at our LTAC hospital in Midland, TX. This is a temporary position that will begin on Wednesday, July 19th. The selected candidate will receive training from the Director of Pharmacy on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and will then work independently.

As the sole pharmacist on duty during this period, the candidate must be comfortable working autonomously. On-call availability is also required for any urgent pharmacy-related matters that may arise during the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all pharmacist duties in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensure accurate dispensing and timely delivery of medications to patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide counseling when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
• Experience working in a hospital or long-term acute care (LTAC) setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
